I’m Kris! I’m a writer, director, editor, producer, voice artist, and musician with a BA in Communications (Media Studies) and a BFA in Film and Video Production. Coming from an independent film and music background in the midwest, I spent a decade on the west coast - working in TV and Film in Los Angeles, teaching video production in Orange County, and leading a media production team at the University of California - Irvine. Aside from extensive experience producing everything from commercials to short films to editing a feature-length documentary in 2012, I’ve also worked in reality TV and studio production - including the Academy Awards in 2013.

I left the classroom in 2018 but had an amazing 5 years teaching film and video production. During this time, I mentored many students in following their passions in film. In 2017, I directed a student-produced short film that was awarded at the California Student Media Festival. I’m still in touch with many of my former students today who often pursue their talents from my classroom. Today I still lead and guide media creation, but in educational course and marketing content for adult learners at the post-college level. I still enjoy creating things myself as I am a published author of short stories and novels and a voice artist with hundreds of hours of paid voiceover work.

Filmmaking continues to change and evolve and I want to help creatives succeed in the new video landscape!
