Biology PhD student with 5 years tutoring experience

My name is Nicole, and I love sharing my knowledge of biology with others! I'm currently a PhD student in ecology and evolutionary biology and also have a Master's degree in biological sciences. I have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate student, and love helping my students achieve their goals and come to appreciate science more. I have three years of experience teaching college students biology as a teaching assistant and instructor at a university. I plan on continuing to tutor and teach throughout my lifetime.

A little bit more about me, I love insects and conduct scientific research on mosquitoes and how they spread disease. I also enjoy running, baking, and reading in my free time.

I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in biology and am currently working towards a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology. I have experience teaching introduction to biology courses as well as biology for non-science majors at the college level. Additionally, I have taught lab courses and have experience with experimental design and basic statistics, skills which may be needed for lab courses.

I lived in Paraguay for two years where I became a fluent Spanish speaker. I have also taken college level courses in Spanish. I offer a unique perspective and teaching style as non-native speaker who has experienced learning Spanish as second language.
