Hello! My name is Michael, and I bring over 20 years of teaching experience to my work as a tutor. I currently teach at the University of Iowa, where I have specialized in teaching history, focusing on revolutions, as well as international studies and development studies. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus on comparative politics, as well as a master’s degree in Political Science. My doctoral research resulted in the dissertation Rethinking the Industrial Revolution, which was later published as a book by Brill (2013) and Haymarket (2014). My master’s thesis concentrated on development theory, reflecting my enduring interest in understanding global social and economic change. Additionally, I have taught in International Studies programs at both the University of Dubuque and the University of Iowa.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students of diverse ages and educational backgrounds. I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in classroom settings, facilitated one-on-one mentoring, and offered personalized support to help students achieve their academic goals.
