I learned through what is known in Israel as "student-centered learning". We will begin our lessons by taking things that matter to you and then helping you to learn the Hebrew words and concepts that relate to what matters most to you. If it's Biblical Hebrew you'd like to learn, then we'll look at those Bible passages or topics that matter most to you and then work from there. If it's modern Hebrew that you'd like to learn, then we'll start with simple conversations about you and who you are and each lesson, I'll offer you activities and opportunities tailored specifically to you to assist you in learning the language and speaking with ease.
Probably the main thing that has enabled me to tutor others almost from the moment I began learning Hebrew is the ease with which I understand grammar coupled with my patience and readiness to assist others in their process. For most people, grammar is their biggest struggle, so by recognizing the grammatical issues you face without weighing you down with "grammar", I aim to help you become proficient in reading, speaking, or translating to your heart's content.
As part of my technical writing degree, I was required to survey a large number of historical and current works in English. I also completed my master's studies in Israel almost entirely in Hebrew, both reading scholarly articles and writing master's level papers in Hebrew. I am proficient in reading and writing both in English and Hebrew and would love to offer some insights to anyone who was born and raised as an English speaker or Hebrew speaker or who comes from a home in which another language is s
