Hello! My name is Harmony, and I am a licensed mathematics educator with a Master of Arts in Mathematics Teaching and nearly a decade of experience teaching high school and college-level mathematics.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa and later completed my Master’s degree in Mathematics Teaching with a Community College emphasis. Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Applied Mathematics, and college-level mathematics courses.

As a classroom teacher, I have worked with students of varying skill levels, from those who struggle with math anxiety to advanced students preparing for college coursework. My experience has given me a deep understanding of common misconceptions and the ability to explain challenging concepts in multiple ways until they click.

My tutoring philosophy focuses on building understanding and confidence. Rather than simply showing students how to solve a problem, I help them understand the reasoning behind the mathematics so they can become independent problem-solvers. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
