Hi, my name is Emily (she/her). I graduated in the top 5% of my class in 2024 with a Bachelor's in English and minors in Criminology and Political Science. While in school and after graduation, I have been working in the legal field for over 5 years and have experience in both civil and criminal fields. I will be attending law school in the fall of 2026 and hope to pursue public interest law.
I taught English as a Second Language to roughly 20 adults over the summer in 2023, helping develop a curriculum and teaching it in the classroom. The adults I taught ranged in age from 30 to 70 and spoke Spanish, French, and Arabic. This will be the start of my LSAT teaching journey. I scored a 158 on my first try and a 171 on my third try. Overall, I learned how to simplify what the questions in both the reading passages and logical reasoning questions were asking me, and then I determined how to identify the gaps and connections in the answer choices. In particular, logical reasoning did not come naturally to me at first, but I learned the tips and tricks and now enjoy it! I tutored myself for the majority of my studies, with the last couple of months under a tutor, and I plan to use the methods I learned to teach students.
I am very excited to start helping others! I am also happy to accommodate the learning style that works best for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about lessons or to schedule a tutoring session.
