True teacher and mentor

Michael is more than a chess tutor to our daughter. He shows real interest in our child's learning and through each lesson he encourages her to see different possibilities in her games and think things through and analyze each move. He takes careful notes and provide very specific suggestions and lesson summary to help us track progress. We can already see our daughter grow in confidence and in her love for chess in the short period of time that Michael has been working with her. I would say that what makes Michael truly unique as a tutor is his sincerity and humility. Even though he is an advanced player he is able to relate to beginners and guide them with patience and share his real passion of chess with students. We couldn't be more grateful that our daughter is so lucky to have found a true teacher and mentor like Michael.

Michael has been working with my son (age 13) for a few weeks now. My son has experience in chess and tournaments, but he still has a lot to learn, and Michael has the expertise to teach him chess theories and methods that he would not otherwise know. Michael is always prepared, patient, and enthusiastic about chess. He challenges my son to approach chess from a different perspective. He is also very flexible when we have to change the dates/times of the lessons. I would highly recommend Michael as a chess tutor.
