Hello!
I’m a current college first-year majoring in Gender Studies and Political Science at Grinnell College, attending on a full-tuition merit scholarship. In my free time, I enjoy creative writing, exploring with friends, collaging, and participating in local activism related to children’s welfare policy.
I attended a public high school in Portland, OR, where I took 12 IB classes and was extremely involved in local youth activism with: the Multnomah Youth Commission, Portland Youth Climate Strike, and the Northwest Oregon Legislative Fellowship. As a prominent political organizer, editor-in-chief of two years, ESL student mentor and debate coach, and intern with Multnomah County, I learned that creating a comfortable environment that fosters confidence is necessary for high-schoolers to develop academically and professionally. I am very familiar with opinion, academic, and formal writing related to the social sciences, as well as with helping others develop as learners and leaders.
I understand that educational outcomes must be improved holistically. I am committed to supporting my students. Aside from substantial and measurable academic improvement, I'm happy to help students with time management strategies, editing assignments, identifying supportive resources, and extracurricular applications. I believe in experiential learning, so I prioritize helping with assignments and real-world challenges.
I welcome any resources, suggestions, or resources that students and families can provide. Feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule a lesson! I look forward to the possibility of working with you!
