I am currently taking my last required course at Scott Community College to receive my Associates of Science degree. I will be pursuing a B.S. in Microbiology. In my years of schooling, I have earned my CNA, been certified and recertified in adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED, and I am certified in pediatric and adult mental health first aid.
My methods of tutoring primarily include working with material assigned and provided by the student's instructor. Upon meeting with the student, or as sessions progress, I may determine that supplemental materials and/or manipulatives may be useful. As the student studies or completes homework, I act as a guide to assist the student in their process. If there is a conceptual gap in the student's knowledge, I will take the time to teach or reteach the concept before the student is able to move on in their coursework.
