My educational background includes an Associate degree in Marketing from Iowa Western Community College, and an Undergraduate degree with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources from Bellevue College. I obtained by CPA license in 1987; currently retired with inactive holding.
My employment history related to tutoring includes working in the Payroll department with Enron for 7 months followed by 25 years as an IRS Revenue Agent.
I have a varied teaching history. As an agent, I taught tax subjects to adults both internally (25 to 70 students), and externally (100 to 300 students). My teaching method was lecture oriented. I also mentored entering agents. Outside of employment, I taught Sunday School to both Elementary aged and Middle School aged children for 23 years in a classroom setting. As a volunteer, I taught life skills and homemaking skills to Special Needs students aged 5 through 21 at Madonna School for Exceptional Children, as a 4H club leader.
