In May 2023, I graduated High school with my GED and a 3.6 GPA. I currently attend Creighton University, studying for a major in Philosophy and a minor in Political Science. A little background of my experience with history. In 2016-2017, I was a State qualifier for National History Day, in Iowa, for my project on Maximilien Robespierre's "Architect of the Revolution." That year's theme was "Taking a Stand in History." I qualified again for my eighth-grade year and was a state finalist for my project on Meriwether Lewis, called "Triumph in the Wilderness, Tragic in Civilization." The theme for the 2018-2019 year was "Triumph and Tragedy." During my sophomore year in high school (2021-2022), I took an AP World History class; and received a 4 rating on the AP World History exam. In concerns to other subject matters, I received a 27 on my ACT Reading exam and have studied under several tutors in ACT testing. During my senior year in high school and my freshman year in college, I took several classes on political science and American Government.
In regard to my tutoring style, I am very flexible with students. I like to keep lessons steady paced, fun, and informative. I vary in my teaching approaches, such as pop quizzes, small lectures, essay questions, test prep, etc. I am more experienced with students, junior and senior high. I look forward to working with everyone, I tutor and look forward to helping them prepare and succeed for the subjects ahead.
