In 2019, I participated in a Spanish language immersion program in San Sebastián, Spain, through the University of the Basque Country. I lived in Spain for six months and have visited the country several times since then. These experiences helped me improve my Spanish and deepen my understanding of Spanish culture and everyday life. In my free time, I love to travel, read, and continue learning new things.
My passion for teaching began when I taught English at a secondary school in Spain, where I discovered how much I enjoyed working with students and helping them grow in their language skills. After returning to the U.S., I worked as a substitute teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave me valuable experience in different classrooms and confirmed my desire to become a full-time educator. I later returned to college to earn my teaching license in Spanish and Psychology for grades 5–12. I love creating engaging and meaningful lessons that help students connect with the material and build confidence in their language abilities. Teaching is more than a job for me—it’s something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about every day.
