I use questions to lead students to discovery of answers, rather than spoon-feeding rote answers. I find that by developing a good rapport with students, and walking them through a step-by-step process of information discovery, they both develop confidence and increase their retention of key information. I use a variety of memory methods and specialize in tailoring my approach to a student's individual personality.
I work with students of all ages, though I specialize in elementary and middle school grades. I offer private piano lessons for beginning through intermediate students as well. My strength is one on one, adjusting material and pace to best fit the needs of each individual student. I find that by setting achievable benchmarks and celebrating student accomplishments, we are able to make progress toward their goals.
