I currently work as a substitute teacher, where I’ve had the opportunity to lead classrooms across a variety of grade levels, from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This experience has allowed me to adapt to different teaching styles, student needs, and subject areas, giving me a strong foundation in both general education and special education environments.
My approach is centered on building student confidence and engagement through personalized instruction. I strive to create a supportive space where students feel safe making mistakes, asking questions, and developing a growth mindset. In math, I often use visual models and number talks to promote conceptual understanding, and in literacy, I focus on comprehension strategies and fluency-building tools. I have worked with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in full classrooms, including students with IEPs and those who need enrichment. Whether working with young readers, students developing number sense, or those needing behavior or executive functioning support, I meet learners where they are and help them grow.
