- Ph.D., Genetics, Iowa State University, Ames, IA

I was an instructor for the course Biology with Human Genetics at the School of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia for two years. I have prepared and conducted introductory lectures followed by the laboratory sessions.

As a graduate student at Iowa State University, I was a teaching assistant for the course Biology 302L - Molecular Cell Biology and Biochemistry for one year. I have prepared and conducted introductory lectures as well as the laboratory sessions including a supervision of the students’ work and a discussion of problem sets.

As a post-doctoral fellow at the Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, I have trained several PhD and MD/PhD students in the laboratory work for 5 years.

As a faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin, I was involved in Neuroscience laboratory sessions, I conducted lectures for Fundamentals of Neuroscience course and teaching the Developmental and Stem Cell Biology course for graduate students for three years.

I have also tutored undergraduate and graduate students primarily helping them to understand scientific papers and basic principles of biology research as well as shaping their PhD thesis projects on the online platform Superprof from 2020-2022.

Approved Subjects

Genetics

Genetics

I earned my BS degree in General Biology with a major in Applied Genetics and my PhD degree in Genetics. As evident from my teaching in class experience, I was teaching not only Genetics but also other subjects in which Genetics was deeply embedded such as Biology 302L - Molecular Cell Biology and Biochemistry, and Developmental and Stem Cell Biology. Genetics was also a substantial part of projects regarding my role as a pathway advisor and project mentor for one medical student, a member of thesis committees for two graduated PhD students, and a thesis mentor for one PhD student.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

My teaching in class experience regarding Neurobiology and Neuroscience in general involves Neuroscience laboratory sessions with first-year medical students. I have also conducted lectures for the Fundamentals of Neuroscience course for graduate students. I have also tutored one undergraduate and one graduate student in Developmental Neuroscience, primarily helping them to understand scientific papers and basic principles of biology research, as well as shaping their PhD thesis project on the online platform Superprof. Furthermore, I have managed, supervised, and led independent research projects regarding the utero development of the central nervous system, including some seminal reports. I am confident that my research and teaching background in general biology, genetics, developmental biology, cell/molecular biology, neuroscience, and related fields will enable me to tutor these subjects that would be effectively complemented by my scientific accomplishments and expertise.
