I am TESOL certified and have a BA in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Art Therapy. I am a native English speaker and have 8 years of online experience tutoring adults and children in English as a Second Language. I currently work with adults with intermediate to advanced level English who want to increase their confidence and advance their English level. I have worked extensively with online tutoring companies and educational centers. I create my own lesson content and also use accredited curriculums.
I am very patient and friendly and aim to meet each student’s needs in my lessons. I enjoy getting to know my students and working 1- 1. I like to travel and know what it is like to need to learn a new language! I believe in the importance of expressing yourself with confidence when learning a new language.

I worked in a behavioral Intervention program with children with autism using Applied Behavioral Analysis to support new skills in the home, school and community. I also supported individuals with autism to participate in recreational and education activities in a day program. And, I provided one on one tutoring (math and ELA) with children with autism in an online tutoring company, of which I am currently still employed. I have a total of about 8 years of experience. I also have a BA in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Art Therapy.

I have taught ESL for 8 years and have a TESOL certificate, a BA in Psychology and a master's level degree in Art Therapy. I provide my own lesson plans and help adults at B2 - C2 levels with pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, phonics, etc. so that they can speak, read and write fluently and with confidence. I enjoy supporting adults who want to achieve life-changes and goals in their life through learning the English language.

I have 8 years of experience teaching grammar to children and adults that are learning English - all levels. I also have experience tutoring grammar to children in the US school system that want to improve their reading and writing.

I have 10 years work experience teaching phonics and all aspects of reading from the start. I have taught children that are just leraning to read, ESL students (children and adults) and also adults who need this basic foundation. I have worked with children with developmental and learning disabilities for 15 years, in educational, recreational and residential settings. I have a BA in Psychology and a Post- Graduate diploma in Art Therapy. I also have 4 years of direct, online tutoring experience tutoring math, reading, ELA in middle and elementary school levels, including students with special needs. I prepare my own lesson plans according to student needs and goals. I'm friendly, patient and supportive and looking forward to building rapport with my new students!

Patient knowledge wonderful tutor

Surya was such a great tutor for my third grader. He tends to get frustrated at his reading and Surya really helped to make him understand. She was very kind and patient with him. She was always encouraging him and making sure he truly understood what she was teaching. She is also very responsible to messages and flexible with our very busy schedule. Highly recommend Surya!
