I’m a computer engineering student at Iowa State University with a strong passion for helping students understand difficult concepts in a way that actually makes sense to them.

One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is breaking complex topics into smaller, manageable pieces. I especially enjoy using metaphors and real world comparisons to explain concepts, because I’ve found that students often learn best when they can connect abstract ideas to something familiar.
Even before formally tutoring, I was always the person classmates and peers came to for help. Through both academics and past jobs, including IT Service work at Iowa State and management experience at Taco Bell, I’ve developed strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills that help me work effectively with many different learning styles.
Academically, I graduated high school as valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. During my first year at Iowa State, I completed coursework through Differential Equations while pursuing computer engineering, and I am currently completing an internship in the Greater Des Moines area.
I’m especially comfortable helping with:
Algebra
Precalculus
Calculus
Introductory programming/computer science
General STEM problem-solving and study skills
But I also LOVE:
English / ELA
Spanish
Humanities
My goal as a tutor is not just to help students finish assignments, but to help them genuinely understand the material and build confidence in their abilities. After all, knowledge is power!
