My name is Dr. Anthony. I hold a doctorate in psychology as well as master’s degrees in philosophy and literature. In addition, I hold a quantitative psychology certificate, having completed advanced training in statistical, psychometric, methodological, and computational procedures.

I have taught college-level courses for many years across a broad range of subjects, including psychology, research methods, writing, and literature. As a writing instructor, I taught special sections for students who had been academically struggling. I was given this assignment due to my approach to classroom teaching--consistent feedback, sensitivity to the difficulties students face, and plenty of humor. In addition to teaching college-aged students, I taught English as a second language abroad to elementary school students and have tutored ESL remotely for high schoolers.

Engaging students with material in a way that is meaningful and significant to them is my focus as an educator. This means working closely with individual students to find how material can be grounded in context that resonates with them, as well as being flexible in exploring different learning techniques.
