I grew up amongst artists, attending the schools for creative and performing arts from 6-12th grade. We learned how to use the imagination in academia. These days, I am using the imagination as a tool in creating change with other Thought Leaders from my PhD program in Transformative Studies out of California Institute of Integral Studies. My style of teaching is integral and rigorous. I have degrees in English Writing, Education, and am currently in the third semester towards a PhD. My experience in teaching has been in the US (Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Fairfield) as well as Indonesia for three years, Nepal for one, and Tonga for two years as an Educational Facilitator with the US Peace Corps.
I am a lover of using gifts to serve one another. We are all in need for something, and what we lack, others have, so community is key. I also love expanding the mind through experimentation and exploration of curiosity.
I taught 3rd grade and 6-8th grade Math. I taught 8th grade philosophy, but really love to learn about it and take courses in my own time out of love for the subject.
My experiences are with ESL, NNS, and IGCSE. I have a degree in English Education and have taught English since 2012.
