My career has been dedicated to supporting and raising student outcomes! I'm an HSTB-licensed secondary math teacher with five years' experience in Hawai'i's public schools and extensive experience working with and in schools across the country.

I hold a Bachelor's in Math and Physics from Bowdoin College (ranked #5 by U.S. News among Liberal Arts Colleges) and a Master's in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University (ranked #6 by U.S. News). As a classroom teacher and seasoned tutor, I build strong student relationships and understand their strengths and challenges to ensure significant growth and robust learning. As a teacher and content expert, I restructured the curriculum to better meet student needs, resulting in an average ACT math growth of five points per semester – over double the typical yearly growth.

Beyond the classroom, I've fostered student development through tutoring. As a Lumen Art of Problem Solving Tutor, I taught elementary students in a STEM-based enrichment program. This experience highlights my ability to engage younger learners and cultivate early interest in challenging academics. Through this, students enhanced their math understanding and appreciation for the mathematical and critical thinking skills essential for navigating AI, machine learning, and computer science.
