My name is Dr. Anthony and teaching/tutoring has been a passion of mine for over 20+ years.
I have vast experiences tutoring all subject manners to diverse populations, including underprivileged communities. I started tutoring ESL adult education classes at the age of 12 in Lawrence, MA during my teenage years. I continued to create and lead a club in high school for a weekly after school tutoring program at my local middle school. In college, I was a lead tutor at Chess-in-the-Schools through NYU. I took a year off from my education to become an AmeriCorps Volunteer, where I was teaching 50 hours per week at an all boys charter school for grades 5-8 with a 100% success rate for full scholarships to top notch private schools throughout the country. I also served as a Clinic Teacher in the Physics Department at New York University, tutoring and organizing curriculum for General Physics (Pre-med) weekly clinic sections.
Throughout my graduate school education, I served as a Lead Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Mechanical Engineering Department and performed over 20 Guest Lectures. I also was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM Fellowship in K-12 Education, where I served as a Teaching Fellow at Hoboken High School, developing curriculum, lectures, classroom activities, assignment and projects which promoted the integration of problem solving, innovation and inventiveness, while fostering cross-fertilization of innovative teaching methods across K-12 and university level education.
I have recently graduated my PhD program, and I genuinely miss the joy that teaching and tutoring has brought to my life and look forward to working together to furthering your education and obtain consistently excellent results. I readily welcome any resources or suggestions that students or parents can provide. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
