Aloha! I’m a passionate educator with a diverse professional background spanning computer science, business ownership, teaching, and accounting. My journey has given me a unique perspective on learning, one that goes beyond memorization and focuses on deep understanding and real-world application. I specialize in making complex concepts approachable and meaningful, helping students connect what they learn in subjects like Algebra and programming to lifelong skills. At the high school level, I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and introductory computer programming in Python, as well as provided targeted preparation for ACT and SAT exams. My goal is always to help students build confidence while mastering the material in a way that truly sticks.
Over nearly a decade of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students of all ability levels such as those who need support catching up, staying on track, or pushing beyond their current curriculum. I pride myself on creating a supportive environment where students feel valued and motivated; many of my students and colleagues have noted how much I genuinely care about student success. In addition to my teaching experience, I have spent the past three years working toward my CPA license and have earned my Enrolled Agent credential, allowing me to represent clients before the IRS. I also founded and brought a patented product, The Pan Pantry, to market during my time in college, which reflects my commitment to problem-solving and innovation. I can provide tutoring that is technology centered if needed or work with students on pen and paper to reduce screen time and return to more traditional learning methods which have been proven.
