I have been tutoring students, grades K-12 for a little over three years now! I still work at Wiz Kids Learning Center in Pearl City and what started as a Summer job, ended up being a job I've come to love. I just enjoy seeing my students excel in the Math concepts I've helped them learn. I tutor English, writing, and Math but Math had always been my favorite thing to tutor.

A lot of what I do while tutoring involves examples. I tutor with the intention to apply it. What I find is that majority of schools just lecture and lecture without any idea as to how to actually use the info. College included. I intend to teach you the concept, how the formula came to be, and then a direct example. In fact I will always do more examples then actual lecturing. I really believe you learn by DOING not by being lectured to. So I'll most definitely ask you to bring in your homework so that I can help you with it step by step so that you won't even need me later. So don't worry, beef curry! You're capable of anything you put your mind to and I hope to take part in that journey with you! :)

I've practically taken every single Math course that one could imagine. In fact, I'm still taking very high levels of college mathematics as I type this. I'm the guy that my friends and family come to if they're in need of any math help. From basic addition to college level Calculus I feel fairly confident that I can get the job done.

Feel free to contact me and learn more about me and the the various hours I'm available for tutoring! I'm so excited to meet you!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Being an Engineering major, algebra is inescapable. I use algebra in every single Engineering problem I come across and it just becomes second nature. I hope to instill that kind of second nature within my students. All it takes is to understand what variables are and how to effectively use them and the rest should be no problem!
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Having tutored many other Algebra 2 students, I find that if they didn't do well in Algebra then this is where the problem lies. Kind of like trying to run without first having mastered walking. But don't fret because really that's definitely where we will start. Algebra 2 just consists of bigger and badder Algebra 1 equations. I will focus more on the Algebra 1 concepts and get you to realize how to incorporate them into your Algebra 2 problems and you will actually enjoy your class.
Calculus

Calculus

Calculus seems very intimidating to first time students and having tutored several other students and several other peers, I feel more than confident. Calculus will focus on limits and derivatives practically. It's a heavily example based class and there are a lot of examples to choose from. I really enjoy explaining the topic first, then having you do an example, see where you have questions, explain once more, and then you'll definitely get the hang of it. I certainly intend to answer every single question because there will be a lot of iffy concepts and that's why I'm here.
Geometry

Geometry

I have tutored several students in Geometry previously and the problem here really rests on whether or not the student is able to create a picture within their own mind. I try my best as possible to incorporate pictures and drawings during my lessons and this helps tremendously. The concepts themselves are not that difficult but the mental illustrations are and I hope to clear these discrepancies up.
Graphic Design

Graphic Design

I currently own a streetwear business in which I design all of the merchandise. I also use the New Creation brand to offer graphic design commissions. I use a combination between Procreate and Canva in order to offer my clients their graphic design needs.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Prealgebra as the name explains is the stuff you need to learn before heading into algebra. It is the concepts you need to know in order to perform successfully in Algebra so it is very important. This is honestly the course you will use the most in your everyday life! Percents, fractions, decimals, and more all deal with how we spend and save money. I have tutored several students previously and I really like to incorporate money and real life situations for applying these concepts effectively.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have tutored several Precalculus students previously. When I first took Precalculus I was fairly intimidated. But what it comes down to really is your understanding of what a function is and how to apply it to various situations. I really enforce the understanding of what we're looking at and all the pieces that go along with it. SO expect a lot of examples along the way and you'll thank me later.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is honestly one of my favorite subjects to teach. It involves a lot of puzzle solving. The equations look intimidating but if you know how the pieces are SUPPOSED to fit than you'll be fine. I try to go over TONS of examples because my teacher never did and thus I suffered the entire time I was learning it.

Patient!

Caelon was extremely patient with my son during their first math lesson. They basically reviewed a worksheet and a test he needed to retake. My son left the session confident he could do the problems and retake the test. Definitely going to see him again and again!
