I have a degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. I have been working as a mathematics tutor for more than twenty years. I really enjoy it. The world of math contains some really cool things, the Mandelbrot set, Klein bottles, and Hilbert's hotel to name just a few. I like to introduce students to these and other similar, fun topics while tying them to their current classroom material. Understanding where one can go with math makes it much easier, even if we never venture there.

I started tutoring online several years ago and met students both online and in-person until recently when everything became virtual so I am well-versed in navigating the challenges with online tutoring vs. traditional, face-to-face sessions. Honestly, there's not much difference. As long as I can see my student's face and hear their voice, I can tell if they are struggling or really 'getting it' and can act on it right away.

I can help students prepare for the math portions of exams including PSAT, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, & GRE.

I worked with students as young as second grade and I've tutored grandparents. I can work with you, too!
