My name is Savannah and I am a student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I am majoring in Business (Entrepreneurship) and Fashion Design Merchandising. I have lived in Japan and completed a $30,000 scholarship abroad; I was the youngest scholar at 17. I have a certificate signed by president Obama for 100+ hours of community service learning. I have traveled all over the world and am culturally diverse and can relate to many different types of students. I have been a math tutor as a peer throughout all school levels and was a paid tutor at Windward Community College, and was also a Supplementary Instructor for College Algebra. Aside from tutoring at an educational institution I have also tutored home schooled students, preparing them for their following grade level. I am a dedicated tutor and am a 4.0 straight A university student. I use methods that cater to the learning style best suited for each individual student; such as visual aid and stories to help them better grasp the material and have found this to be extremely beneficial.
