I’m a professional working artist with over 12 years of experience. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, and my work has been exhibited in multiple gallery spaces and a museum. I was also awarded a near full-ride scholarship to Maryland Institute College of Art.
I teach traditional and contemporary drawing and painting, working primarily with graphite, charcoal, and pastel, as well as acrylic and oil paint. My lessons often focus on realism, figurative work, portraiture, surrealism, and abstraction. I help students build a strong foundation in traditional techniques while also encouraging more expressive, stylized approaches.
Alongside my own studio practice, I help students build their skills with clarity and confidence - whether that means learning fundamentals, developing a personal style, or creating a strong portfolio for school and scholarship opportunities. I understand what art programs are looking for and can guide students in presenting their work in a way that stands out. My goal as a tutor is not only to improve technical ability, but to help each student grow into their own creative voice.
