I received a B.S. in Physics with distinction in major from Temple University, and I am currently a physics PhD student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. While earning my B.S., I spent three years tutoring students in mathematics and physics in grades 5-12 as a volunteer and undergraduate levels professionally. I am currently teaching two undergraduate physics courses as part of my PhD program, and I am very passionate about providing students of all backgrounds an opportunity for private instruction. I hope to have more chances to teach outside of my lectures and office hours, and I would be honored to be entrusted with supporting you or your child's education.
My focus is on making physics and mathematics a less intimidating subject for students, as it can be quite stressful when it is taught in a large group setting. With one-on-one instruction, the tutor can relate the subject to the student's personal life and ensure they fully understand the material before moving forward. As a published researcher in a peer-reviewed journal, I know first-hand how fun and rewarding some of the most difficult subjects can be. It is my utmost intention to bring forward my own enthusiasm in order to make math and physics an engaging point of interest for my students.
