Greetings! My name is Caroline and while I am new to the Wyzant platform, I have a background in education and tutoring. I’ve earned three degrees from the University of Hawaii: BA History (Asia/Pacific), BA American Studies, and JD Law (from UH’s William S. Richardson School of Law).
This past year, I decided to follow a lifelong calling and changed my career path from lawyering to teaching. I taught 6th grade Social Studies as a long term substitute teacher and had a blast! This coming school year, I will be teaching the same grade and subject area while concurrently enrolled in the UH College of Education’s Master’s program to earn my Teaching Degree.
In terms of tutoring experience, I have tutored family members and friends since high school (mainly in writing and History/Social Studies). While I was in law school, I was a legal writing tutor for First Year law students, which was a blast! As a 6th grade teacher, I offered tutoring for my students as well. I look forward to working with you in the future!
