Hello, my name is pronounced (uh-lease) but I prefer for my students to call me Ms. C. I currently work for an elementary school as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional tutor. As a paraprofessional tutor, I coach students with learning disabilities to adapt to an all-inclusive classroom setting while retaining any information being discussed in class.
I use a goal-oriented tutoring method where students set specific goals for improving their approach to studying. We then go over difficulties, solutions, and reflections in order to teach students critical thinking skills.
Our first session will be a free mandatory consultation that lasts 45 minutes for goal setting. Any accommodations the student has at school must be emailed to me prior to the second session where the tutoring begins. This is so that I can teach the student to fully utilize any resources available.
As someone who has a learning disability, I strive to give students the confidence they need to succeed in any classroom. I highly recommend that students or parents contact me at any time to learn more about my services or to schedule a session.
