I bring an interdisciplinary background to tutoring and counseling with formal training across biology, engineering, and business. I studied biology as an undergraduate, earned an MBA, and am pursuing an MD and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering focused on materials and biotechnology. I have conducted research with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Harvard. My training has required mastery of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, MCAT subjects, and beyond allowing me to teach these subjects in a connected and intuitive way.
I tutor students from middle school through college in Algebra (equations, functions, polynomials), Geometry (angles, triangles, proofs), Biology (cell biology, genetics, physiology), and Chemistry (stoichiometry, reactions, equilibrium, acids/bases, organic mechanisms), as well as MCAT preparation and MBA topics such as economics, marketing, and business strategy. I have also worked as a chemistry lab teaching assistant, leading experiments and reinforcing core concepts, which informs my practical, application-focused teaching style. I also provide college counseling (undergraduate and graduate applications, medical school applications, personal statements) and career development (academic planning, MD/PhD pathways, etc).
My approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into clear, step-by-step reasoning. I help students understand how to think through problems, not just memorize, while building confidence and strong study and test-taking skills.
