Greetings fellow students. I say "fellow students" becuase I am a firm believer that you should never stop learning whether you are sitting in a classrom or are on the job. I recently retired from law enforcement after a very successful 26 year career, 16 of those years was on staff as an instructor. I was very blessed to have worked in almost every assignment in the profession at one time or another. The majority of my career was spent in investigations. I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice from North Georgia College (now the University of North Georgia) and my Masters degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. I am also a graduate of the Mercer University Public Safety Leadership Institute and the Boston University Senior Management Institute for Police. I have over 4,000 formal training hours in all areas of law enforcement. I am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction with a passion for writings on leadership, strategic planning and history. I adhere to strong ethic principles guided by my faith in God, my wife and my children. I am very easy to approach and talk to and have a deep passion for teaching and learning and for those that seek to better themselves.
