My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching for Secondary Education for grades six through twelve, where I graduated as a High Honors student. I have been working with children for more than eight years in many different settings, including summer camps, after-school programs, tutoring, and involved in a children's healthcare of Atlanta organization.
These experiences helped me grow in patience, compassion, and understanding as I supported students with a wide range of needs. I am now in my second year of teaching and have taught both sixth and eighth grade math in a classroom environment. Before becoming a full-time teacher, I gained hands-on field training through my teacher preparation program, which strengthened my skills and confidence. I also had the opportunity to serve as a math competition lead, guiding students as they explored advanced problem-solving and built a deeper love for mathematics.
Alongside my teaching experience, I have spent a year and a half tutoring students individually and in small groups. I always adjust my approach to match the learner’s style, whether they benefit most from visual explanations, verbal guidance, hands-on activities, or step-by-step practice.
Through all of these experiences, my focus has remained the same: to help students grow, feel confident, and realize just how capable they truly are.
