I hold an Associate’s degree in General Studies from Brewton-Parker Christian University and am currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Christian Studies. My academic background has emphasized reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, and clear communication, which are foundational skills across many subjects. Through my studies, I have developed strong abilities in analyzing texts, organizing ideas, and communicating concepts in a way that is accessible and understandable for learners at different levels.
In addition to my formal education, I have over four years of full-time teaching and mentoring experience through pastoral ministry. During this time, I taught in classroom-style group settings, small groups, and one-on-one environments. I worked with middle school students, high school students, and adults, helping them improve writing clarity, reading comprehension, and overall study skills. Much of my work involved guiding learners through reading assignments, and structured discussions, as well as helping them develop effective study habits and confidence in their academic abilities.
My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and practical. I focus on meeting students where they are academically, breaking down complex material into manageable steps, and reinforcing understanding through clear explanation and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments successfully, but also to equip them with tools and strategies they can use independently in future academic work.
