I was a member of my high school's Academic Decathalon team, which was a competition team that competed against other schools in academic tests in music, literature, economics, history, math, and science. I was placed in the highest tier of my team, which was determined by cumulative GPA. My school's team made it to the state championship competition, where we competed against the best teams in Georgia. I placed 2nd and 3rd in several different subjects at the regional level. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to help prepare students to take tests because often times there are ways to approach a test that will greatly improve your score that most people don't know about. These test taking skills combined with sharp knowledge are students' greatest assets in today's academic environment.
I enjoy several hobbies such as writing screenplays, reading books, and planning my next business ventures. My experience with tutoring started as my senior project in high school where I led group study sessions in pre-algebra. I completed 30 hours of instructed lessons and lesson planning, and I received an "A" on the final presentation of the project.
