Hello! I'm Jaylon H. and I am a current senior student at Augusta University. I will graduate with my Bachelor of Science and my major is Cell and Molecular Biology. During my time in college, I have realized most students don't understand challenging subjects because there is a disconnect between the teacher and student. Most students struggle with comprehending the complex language used to explain an already difficult and new subject, so I take that into account and strive at helping my peers and students pick up on previously misunderstood topics.
I have four years of experience tutoring in various math and science based subjects. I tutored high schoolers in Algebra, Precalculus, and specialize in many other math subjects such as Calculus and Statistics. I have tutored college students in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I & II, Physics, and Biology. While I have tutored groups of various sizes up to 4 students, I prefer to tutor students in one on one sessions to guarantee I provide the best tutoring services possible and I find that students are more comfortable being tutored in one on one environments. Most of my tutor sessions have taken place in person at a library or the student's home, because I believe some subjects can be understood better in person.
I have a very flexible tutoring style, so I can adjust to fit the accommodations of any student, as they should feel comfortable to receive the best tutoring possible. I have no issue with interacting with the parents of younger students to ensure their child is receiving the help they deserve.
