In my classroom, I’ve taught whole groups, small groups, and worked one-on-one with students who are behind or stuck on certain skills. I’m used to breaking big, overwhelming tasks into smaller steps and explaining things in different ways until it finally “clicks.” I use tools like visuals, graphic organizers, and lots of guided practice so students actually understand, not just memorize.
As a tutor, I’m patient, calm, and structured. I start by getting to know your child—their current level, how they feel about the subject, and what’s hardest for them right now. Then I plan sessions that mix clear teaching, practice together, and chances for your child to explain their thinking so we can catch misunderstandings early. I keep communication open with families and I’m happy to share what we’re working on and how you can support at home. My goal is to help your child move from “I can’t” to “I get it” and feel more confident and independent with schoolwork.
