Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a certified educator with certifications in English Language Arts (Grades 6-12), ESOL (PreK-12), and Gifted Education. For the past nine years, I have taught a diverse range of students, including English language learners, gifted students, struggling readers, and students needing additional academic support. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and achieve their goals.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have been tutoring students in grades 2-12 for approximately 15 years in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I have helped students improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, study skills, and test-taking strategies. One of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is seeing students realize their potential. Many of my students have increased their course grades by 5-10 percentage points within two months of consistent tutoring. I have also helped students prepare for state-required assessments, and many have successfully passed after strengthening their academic skills and confidence through targeted instruction.
My tutoring approach is personalized and student-centered. I begin by identifying each student's strengths, challenges, and goals, then create lessons tailored to their learning style and needs. Whether a student needs help with reading, writing, literature analysis, English language development, or test preparation, I break complex concepts into manageable steps and provide clear explanations, guided practice, and constructive feedback. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and strategies, and I look forward to helping your student reach their full potential.
