As a student currently working toward a degree in Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech, my academic journey is deeply rooted in the practical and advanced applications of mathematics and physics. My passion for these subjects drove me to transition into tutoring, where I have spent significant time helping students bridge the gap between complex theory and genuine understanding. Over the course of my tutoring experience, which includes formal instruction at Mathnasium as well as independent one-on-one sessions both online and in person, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of learners. My students have spanned from eager elementary school children building foundational arithmetic skills to high schoolers navigating advanced algebra, geometry, and introductory physics.
Through navigating these different learning environments, I have developed a highly adaptable and patient teaching methodology. I quickly learned that traditional, rigid approaches often alienate students who are already struggling with STEM subjects. Instead, I focus on breaking down intimidating equations into manageable, step-by-step pieces, ensuring my students understand the "why" behind each operation rather than just memorizing a formula. Furthermore, my engineering background allows me to bring physics concepts to life by relating abstract theories to tangible, real-world examples that resonate with younger minds. Whether I am helping a middle schooler master fractions or guiding a high school student through kinematic equations, my goal is always to build their confidence, foster a growth mindset, and make problem-solving an empowering experience.
