I’m a recent high school graduate with several years of tutoring experience, primarily working with middle school students and students preparing for the SAT Math section. Throughout high school, I completed 10 AP courses and graduated with a 4.11 weighted GPA, which helped me develop strong study habits and a deep understanding of challenging coursework. I am also a certified Schoolhouse SAT Math Tutor, a selective tutoring program that trains tutors to effectively support students in math and test preparation.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with students in both one-on-one and volunteer tutoring settings. Most of my experience has been helping middle school students strengthen their understanding of math concepts, complete assignments, prepare for tests, and build confidence in the classroom. Through my work as an SAT Math tutor, I’ve also helped high school students improve problem-solving skills, understand difficult concepts more clearly, and feel more prepared going into the exam.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s learning style. I know that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes without feeling discouraged. Rather than simply giving answers, I try to help students understand the “why” behind concepts so they can become more independent and confident learners over time. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and test scores, but also to help them feel more capable and less stressed when approaching difficult material.
