Hi! I’m Destiny. I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemistry and Biology, where I built a strong foundation in STEM and public health. My coursework blended research, technology, and hands-on application, and I spent time in a biochemistry lab working on bacteria-focused projects alongside a PhD candidate. That experience taught me how to take complex scientific ideas and break them down into clear, digestible pieces, something I bring into every tutoring session.
I’ve spent several years supporting students across different ages and levels, from middle school to college. My teaching experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, and informal support through leadership roles in my university’s public health association. I also worked closely with my younger siblings, helping them strengthen their science and math foundations and develop study strategies that worked for them. These moments showed me how much I value making learning accessible, encouraging, and genuinely enjoyable.
My tutoring style is built around meeting students exactly where they are. I take time to identify gaps in understanding, introduce topics in an engaging and clear way, and then guide students through structured, step-by-step practice. I always make room for independent work so students can build confidence, and I adjust my approach based on the subject, the student’s learning style, and their goals.
My priority is to help students feel supported, capable, and prepared for long-term success, whether we are tackling a challenging chemistry concept or preparing for a math exam. I always welcome input from students and families, and I am quick to respond if you ever have questions. Feel free to reach out!
