Hello! I'm Diya, a senior in High School with a passion for education and a commitment to high level academic achievement. I plan to further my education soon by majoring in Business in college. Throughout my educational journey spanning elementary to high school, I have garnered invaluable insights into the intricacies of the education system and mastered effective study techniques. Having completed 11 Advanced Placement (AP) classes, several honors classes, and maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA (4.3 weighted), I am well-versed in navigating challenging academic terrain.

My proficiency extends beyond personal success; it translates into a genuine desire to empower younger students with the tools for academic triumph. I prefer to teach students from kindergarten to sixth grade, where I excel in formulating strategic approaches to facilitate not only immediate academic success but also the development of a solid foundation for future educational challenges. Building a strong academic foundation at this age is invaluable and will help a lot in the future. Recognizing the diversity in learning styles, I am committed to individualizing my teaching methods, investing time to understand each student's cognitive processes, and tailoring strategies to their unique needs. I firmly believe that anyone can excel in any subject when armed with the right learning approach.

I am relatively new to tutoring but have enjoyed it thus far. Watching kids build their confidence as students has been a highlight for me. I have taken Algebra 1,2 and higher level math and gotten an A in all of these courses throughout middle and high school. I am familiar with the school system and what it takes to make an A on these subjects as well as what it takes to build a good foundation for math so that students struggle less in high school. I have taught Algebra 1 before.

I am certified to teach Algebra 2. I took Honors Algebra 2 two years ago and had an A in the course. Since then I have deepened my studies in math/algebra.

I have been competitively dancing since I was 5 years old in ballet and other styles of dance. I have also taught dance to several kids in my high school and choreographed 2 musicals incorporating ballet dance. I am qualified to teach beginner to medium level ballet.
