Hi! My name is Tisha. I have come to enjoy tutoring to the school-aged children and adults for the past 20 years at both of the school-based setting and community-based setting. I have worked with the individual and groups on academic topics. Most of my students are hearing-impaired along with dual diagnoses of autism, ADHD, ODD, and NLD.

I was a cum laude honor student when I received my BA in Business Administration from American InterContinental University. As of recent, I earned my MS in Psychology from Capella University.

The subjects that I have tutored are Math, Science, English, and Sign Language for school-aged children and adults. At college and university level, I have tutored in Business, Finance, and Marketing online. I believe in students’ potential for improvement through understanding, not to work hard, but to understand.

In the past 20 years, I have enjoyed helping people of all levels on improving on Math and English and Sign Language using my sign language as a visual aid and other kinesthic learning tools. As I am a deaf person myself posits my tutoring experience to effective tutoring.

My past employments began when I started working as a certified nurse assistant for the deaf and blind elderly seniors at the nursing home for 3 years. Then, I worked as a counselor for 5 years. Then, I worked at elementary school for the deaf as a paraprofessional (teacher assistant) for 2 years to work on one-on-one with autistic students on Math, Science, English, and Sign Language. Also, I was a consultant for academic writing agency for 5 years.

All ages are welcome. I am flexible to tutor after 5pm evenings and weekends. I charge $30 dollars per hour. On weekends, I charge $30 dollars per hour. I am looking forward to hearing from you and to work with you on getting your grades up and or to pass your exams in order for you to achieve academic goals and success.
