My motto in life is and always have been, "try to make the world a better place, one person at a time." I believe in that motto and I have always strived to help others wherever I can. My degree in teaching middle grades education speaks to that. You can believe me in that I will try my best to help you understand whatever you may need help with that I am qualified to teach.
I have extensive experience tutoring others throughout my academic career. My background in teaching is for Math and Science. I have experience tutoring all age groups, from elementary up to the collegiate level. My personal approach to teaching is to tackle the student's unique problems in their technique and try to improve upon that by correcting the problem at the source, whether that is a lack of practice or plain rustiness.
My concentrations are the lower grades up through middle school, but I can always help in high school math. I strongly believe in one to one sessions because that is the optimal use of your resources. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
In terms of my education, I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors in Science for Middle Level Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. I also hold certification for teaching in 4th through 8th grade. I am currently working on another Bachelor's in Engineering at Southern Poly. During my junior year, I received honors such as the Rensselaer award for achievement in Math and Science and the Bausch and Lomb award for Math and Science.
With all that said, I thank you for reading my profile and hope I will be able to help you in your studies.

He was on time. Also very patient with the student. Highly recommend him to friends. He was detailed in Algebra 1.
10th grade algebra. He used questions from the Internet to help my son prepare for the upcoming school year. This was the first meeting. I plan weekly meetings throughout the summer.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
