I have 18 years in education, that begin in Okinawa, Japan and has followed me through various states. Accordingly, I have worked in both public and private school sectors. I am experienced in phonetic development, reading fluency & comprehension, sentence structure, and essay writing. Additionally, I have a vast amount of experience in science and social studies. I have the ability to guide students in their quest for learning tools to take standardized tests, such as the GA Milestones, MAPS Testing, Cogat, etc. I have helped numerous students become advanced readers with great comprehension skills, developing more confidence and improving overall in school.

I create individualized plans for each student and find unique ways to make sure I meet each student where they are. Teaching and learning, thus tutoring is not bout just home work help or sitting and repeating what was given in the classroom, it is about helping students see things from a perspective that might have been missed. It pays to make learning fun. It helps to get to know my students and to let them get to know me.
