My name is Gabrielle, and I am a middle school math educator with over nine years of experience helping students build strong mathematical understanding and confidence. I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in middle grades mathematics. My passion for teaching math began early—I knew as an eighth grader that I wanted to become a math educator. Even then, I found great joy and fulfillment in helping my peers improve their math skills, and I am grateful to continue that same work today with my students and tutoring clients.

As a lifelong lover of math, I truly enjoy helping students see what they are capable of achieving. In addition to teaching sixth and seventh grade math for the past nine years, I have experience tutoring students in grades six through eight, as well as Algebra I. My tutoring approach is student-centered and engaging, with sessions tailored to meet each learner’s individual needs. I use purposeful practice activities and focus on helping students build both skills and confidence. In my classroom, a phrase students hear often is, “Our mistakes may be many, but each one is a lesson learned.” I bring this same growth mindset into every tutoring session, encouraging students to view mistakes as a natural and valuable part of learning. With consistent support and guidance, I help students work toward mastery while feeling safe to take risks and ask questions.

I also believe strongly in partnering with parents and guardians to ensure tutoring services align with each student’s goals and needs. Families I have worked with have seen students gain confidence in problem-solving, improve their grades, and develop a deeper understanding of the math they are learning.
