I am a doctoral candidate in Chemical Engineering at one of the top 5 engineering programs in the United States. I have been a college and high school teacher and tutor for over 10 years with an excellent track record of helping over 500 students excel in their courses and exams, such as Business Mathematics, Geometry, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry, Differential Equations, high school physics, chemistry, and mathematics among others. I am eager to go the extra mile, with patience and compassion, to ensure my students understand the topic well and significantly improve their class performance. I have experience both in the classroom and in one-on-one tutoring, and my students range from elementary schoolers to graduate students. I have also worked well with parents to ensure their children's academic success. There are several success stories of my excellent tutoring; however, a recent one is how I helped a graduate student retake a math modeling to achieve an "A" after some hours of tutoring with me. I love to assist students in working out the problems themselves to ensure their self-reliance and confidence to tackle such problems in tests or exams. I adapt my tutoring methodology to suit student's current level of understanding by setting clear goals while ensuring active and progressive learning supported by student feedback (and parents). I am passionate about deciphering any course materials to such an extent that it will be easy for my students to digest, comprehend, and overcome any fear they might have of a course.
