Greetings, I'm Jackie M., and I've spent over a decade honing my craft as an educator. Throughout my career, I've served students in various roles, including as a tutor, camp counselor, swim coach, Robotics & STEM Coach, substitute, student teacher, and lead teacher. For three years, from 2019 to 2022, I worked as a 4th-grade teacher at Amana Academy, a STEM school located in Alpharetta, Georgia, where I also served as the STEM & Robotics Club Coach for middle school and upper elementary students.
I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia, where I also earned a certification in disability studies. Additionally, I obtained a certification in Middle School Science during my teaching career. I'm a firm believer in the power of technology, and I love using it for teaching and tutoring students.
My teaching philosophy revolves around developing and implementing customized plans to help students meet or exceed their grade level expectations. I identify learning gaps and provide students with a strong foundation for growth. Furthermore, I've created plans that enrich students' learning and encourage them to explore knowledge beyond their curriculum.
Over the years, I've worked with diverse students and found immense joy in helping them unlock their full potential.
