I have taught for a year in an elementary school. I teach in a resource and co-teach setting, where I work with 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students. I teach math and English language arts for each of these grades. I also completed my student teaching at a middle school, where I taught English language arts to 8th graders. I have 4 years of tutoring experience as well.
As someone with a background in Special Education, I like to teach using a variety of different methods. I believe that there is not one specific way of teaching that will meet the needs of every student. I want to make sure a student has the right foundational skills needed in order to be able to find success with what they are currently learning.
