Hi! I'm Lolade K., a Computer Science graduate with a passion for helping students build confidence in math and coding. I've always loved math and consistently excelled in it throughout school, and I enjoy making challenging concepts easy to understand.
I have over 3 years of experience working with children in educational settings. At Code Ninjas, I provided a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students ages 5–14. I taught STEM concepts and coding fundamentals using block coding, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Lua, and Unity, helping students create their own games while developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
In addition to coding instruction, I have extensive experience providing one-on-one math tutoring for elementary and middle school students. My goal is to identify each student's areas of difficulty, strengthen their foundational understanding, and help them develop effective problem-solving and test-taking strategies. My students have improved their confidence, classroom performance, and standardized test scores, including the Georgia Milestones and End-of-Course (EOC) exams.
I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the student's learning style and interests. By connecting math and coding concepts to real-life examples and topics they enjoy, I help students better understand and retain what they're learning. I also emphasize consistent practice through guided exercises and targeted review to build lasting confidence and mastery.
