Hi! I'm Lolade K., I am a computer science student at Georgia State University. Math is one of my favorite subjects and I've always made A's in math. I've been working with kids for nearly 3+ years. I worked at Code Ninjas where I provided a fun and safe learning environment for children ages 5-14 while Overseeing the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. I taught kids STEM skills and how to build their own games by using various coding languages such as block coding, Html, Css, Lua, Unity, and javascript. While in high school, I provided interactive one-on-one tutoring sessions to elementary and middle school students in math and assisted in the development of stronger techniques while enhancing communications and active listening skills. While working one on one with students I help them to build strong math skills, so that when they are being tested results are shown.

By taking students' weakest links and making them their strongest I was able to improve their test-taking abilities, resulting in higher grades overall and higher test scores on the Georgia Milestone and EOC exams.

I use a tutoring approach of application, with this I am relating what the kids are learning to their interests, this helps them learn and retain information better. I also believe practice makes perfect, so in our session, I will get to know your child and their interests and create analogies of what they like to what their learning and I will make sure we practice and do drills of what they're currently learning.
